Mark’s Hartfield Circular - A trio of Wealden Villages, Hartfield, Ashurst and Withyham

Starting from Hartfield, this 13-mile walk climbs the ridges of the High Weald landscape, visiting Ashurst and then following the Wealdway on to Withyham, with its delightful church and rectory. Return to Hartfield via the Wealdway, visiting Pooh Sticks Bridge and enjoying many fine views.

About the event

This walk is hosted by Mark Levenstein - Ramblers West Kent Walking Group. No booking required, just turn up a good 10 minutes before the start time and make yourself known to the walk leader.

Distance: 13 miles

Duration: 6 hours

Obstacles: Numerous stiles and gates. Some long gradients

Meeting point: Meet-up point Hartfield Village. Parking at St Mary’s school in Hartfield. TN7 4AA. WhatThreeWords:   unleashed.settled.though. Free at weekends. Look for the wooden Weekend Parking Sign as you enter the village from the North.

Walk details: Walk is classed as Moderate.

Information: Please bring picnic lunch. Well-behaved dogs on leads welcome. Children over 12 welcome if accompanied by an adult with parental responsibility. Cafe & pub in Hartfield village.
